I have decided that anything that I have not used for over a year must have become unneccessary. Therefore, in an effort to become a divester I have set up this divest-store. I reserve the right to chicken out and decide that a year is not long enough to know, but I don't think I will

There will be an icon posted for each person who enters the dialogue on an item.
Think of it like the bidders on Ebay. Mouse the icon to see the "ALT text" which will show you exactly what level the discussion has reached.
When we reach agreement I will add a this icon means i have accepted an offer but the money buisness is not complete, so it may not really be sold yet. The dollar amount will be posted as ALT text on the SALE PENDING icon icon.
Once it ships, it will be marked this means that the money stuff is complete and the item is no longer availableand/or removed from the website.
I assume I will set up a PayPal account eventually to handle financial transactions.

Playback stuff - Turntables and cartidges for vinyl disk recordings
  1. Ortofon MC-2000 Orthophase moving coil cartridge
w/ Ortofon machined magnesium SME-mount headshell in very cool ebony box
    S/n 02402
To the best of my knowledge neither the xformer or the cartridge has ever actually been used. The headshell on the SME arm on my Oracle Delphi does not interchange like the earlier SME arms did and I gave away my Thorens with the classsic SME arm before these pieces arrived, so it turned out there was no convenient way to switch between V-15 and the Orthophon, so the Ortophon stuff simply remained in the box.

OK this one really is a gambler's game, like buying a bottle of vintage wine. Only I am willing to play the game with you. This could be a gem - a new impossibly expensive cartidge for very little money - or it could be totally used up. The suspension could be just fine or stiff and crumbly and useless. My guess is that there is only one way to find out: just like the bottle of wine, you mount it and listen to it. I doubt that even Ortophon's design engineers would be able to predict the consequences of nearly 20 years in uncontrolled storage.
What's it worth to you IF it's good-as-new? How can we find out if it's good? Shipping is cheap.
