I have decided that anything that I have not used for over a year must have become unneccessary. I reserve the right to chicken out and decide that a year is not long enough to know, but I don't think I will. And don't worry: most of the stuff on the site so far has sat for closer to a decade than a year.

MAKING OFFERS

Click on any item to open an email dialogue with me.
When I receive your message, I will add a Mouse the icon to see what level the discussion is at icon to the item.
There will be an icon posted for each person who enters the dialogue on an item.
Think of it like the bidders on Ebay. Mouse the icon to see the "ALT text" which will show you exactly what level the discussion has reached.
When we reach agreement I will add a this icon means i have accepted an offer but the money buisness is not complete, so it may not really be sold yet. The dollar amount will be posted as ALT text on the SALE PENDING icon icon.
Once it ships, it will be marked this means that the money stuff is complete and the item is no longer availableand/or removed from the website.
I assume I will set up a PayPal account eventually to handle financial transactions.

I have realized several things over the past few years, since I really started to get old. And the single most important thing that I have realized is that a lot of the stuff that I have accumulated no longer seems particularly important to my daily life. And that I seem to be spending too much time and effort protecting, maintaining, and keeping track of it. Therefore, I have decided that anything that I have not used for over a year must have become unneccessary.
I reserve the right to chicken out and decide that a year is not long enough to know, but I don't think I will. And don't worry: most of the stuff on the site so far has sat for closer to a decade than a year.

You will immediately notice that nothing on the site is priced. That is because the buyer is ultimately the one who decides if something is valuable enough to justify the purchase. Therefore, I want the prospective buyer to make the call - if you want something, make me an offer.

Here are the ground rules: it appears that Ebay has become the definitive marketplace for collectors at this point, so that is where the prices for comparable goods ought to come from, where possible. However, I have been buying stuff on Ebay, or trying to, since the very beginning, and because there are almost always people willing to bid more than I am willing to pay, I am rarely the high bid. I just draw my line and let it go, or else someone who sees my bids hovering in the high-bid-zone right up to the end, and offers me something similar privately.

Therefore, what I am proposing is that I expect the items ought to bring something like 75% - 80% of the "going rate" on Ebay. Send me copies of some recent closing prices from Ebay (or other equally "legitimate" public forum) to support your offer and explain how you want an item shipped, and it's probably yours. I reserve the right to hold on to things, but the whole point here is to let go.

And DO check again tomorrow. Every day, I post more stuff and more images.
